Dooley needs to stick to his guns on this.

Bryce Brown sends text message to tell Derek Dooley he is leaving Tennessee - Campus Rivalry: College Football & Basketball News, Recruiting, Game Picks, and More - USATODAY.com
I'll go ahead and give mine--I knew this or something like it would happen w/Bryce while at UT. I've said it on here for quite a while. There's rumors that Bryce/Arthur would come back to Miami together instead of KSU, but I don't want Bryce. I'd take Arthur back b/c he left UM the right way, not Bryce tho after how he's done UT.
Kudos to Dooley for not releasing him yet either, serves Bryce right for not coming and speaking to the man face-to-face like he should.
This ain't about Bryce not coming to Miami during recruiting for me, it never has been. It's how he has handled the whole recruiting/media circus along w/Brian Butler this whole time. I've said in the past I hope he would change and actually play football instead of carrying on like this, but I was always highly skeptical. Looks like my skepticism was warranted.

Zero chance. From people who knew Bryce at UT that wasn't happening. It was either UT or KSU. The only thing keeping him at UT was the hot blonde he was dating. His dad wants him and Arthur at KSU.
I don't think it would have mattered what happened (face to face or not) Dooley wasn't releasing him anywhere. If he'd talked to him back in late Winter or Spring it might have been different.
For the bold comment, the kid hasn't made one statement through the press or anyone else since he's been at UT. Even when he was being recruited you rarely heard anything from him. It was always Butler. I'm not going to fault a 17 year old for falling in league with a leech. I blame his parents and even Arthur for that. He should have gotten better advice from them.
I didn't think he'd come back and if he'd came back this season he was more than likely redshirting. I never thought Arthur was that great coming out and I sure as hell didn't think Bryce was the #1 overall player or even running back. He's a 4* kid who may or may not be successful in college. He can be a good back, I'm not sure the want to is there though. It wouldn't suprise me if he never plays again.
I'm glad it's over because I'm tired of hearing about it. I knew he wouldn't be back but I'm not going to call him the antichrist and rag on him. The only thing I fault him with is not having the balls to take 5 minutes to tell the coaching staff, "thanks but no thanks, I'm going home.".

While a salient point, Bryce could have handled this one way and been cool in my mind: go to school, and play ball. Don't worry about what mommy/daddy/Butler wanted, go to school and play ball. Keep your head down and when you make it to the league--you can make your own decisions and no one can fault you for that. Shut the fack up and play ball, that's what you do...so do it. But it wasn't to be.For the bold comment, the kid hasn't made one statement through the press or anyone else since he's been at UT. It's the same here. This isn't a one-time thing during his time in the spotlight though, he had Butler call and tell Shannon he wasn't coming to Miami. He wouldn't call up Shannon and tell him himself. Dude needs to sack up and fend for himself as far as I'm concerned. He may not be Ochocinco in the media, but he didn't go out of his way to deflect any negative attention drawn to himself by shutting up and playing football. Dude's a primadona, a quiet one, but he's still a primadona. The only thing I fault him with is not having the balls to take 5 minutes to tell the coaching staff, "thanks but no thanks, I'm going home.".
Oh yeah--I know zero chance. Rivals and just about every other Canes related site debunked this over a week ago. As I said though--if that rumor were true, I'd take Arthur back and play him on special teams, but I wouldn't touch Bryce with a 1000000 foot pole due to his idiocy and ineptitude in dealing with coaches/people w/o needing his dad or Butler chiming in.Zero chance. I basically agree with all that except the primadona part. He needs to sack up, be a man, and quit letting other people run his life. For some people that's easier said than done though. He's said little to nothing the last couple of years to give any kind of insight to his personality. Every decision made, every move made, has been made by someone else.

its not like he would have really played at UT this year anyway, UT woulda redshirted him I think.
Tauren Poole and Oku both will be just as good as Brown.
BB has all kinds of talent, he could really be a star. I dont think he deserved to be higher rated than T. Richardson because he was not as talented, but he was still a very good RB.
Maybe he will go to KSU and shine. I always hope the best for all these kids, especially those who got caught up with a POS leech like Butler.

I think he was looking at a redshirt this year for sure. He came out of high school with an injured hip and played with one last year. I think Kiffin was so obsessed with playing him that he didn't worry about him being hurt.
I'm more excited about Raijon Neal this year than I was Brown last year. Neal's about the same size but faster.
